Start Thanksgiving with a little exercise, a lot of gratitude, and a great cause! Join your neighbors on Thursday, November 26, at 9:15 a.m. for the 6th Annual Walk with DeCo Thanksgiving Morning Fun Run / Walk in Spring Creek.
What began with Mike DeCoursey’s remarkable recovery from a life-threatening arterial dissection has grown into a community movement raising more than $100,000 for VEDS research. Vascular Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (VEDS) is a rare, serious genetic connective tissue disorder that affects Mike’s family and others. Every dollar donated to Walk with DeCo supports genetic vascular disease research.
Whether you run, walk, bring the kids, or simply come to show your support, there’s a place for you! Enjoy a neighborhood-friendly 1.5-mile route, with the option to complete two loops for a 5K. Turkey-themed costumes are highly encouraged, and bragging rights await the best-dressed and/or fastest turkey!
📍 Where: Spring Creek / Preston Ridge Trail, starting at the northeast corner of Roundrock and Meandering Way
🕘 When: Thanksgiving morning, November 26, at 9:15 a.m.
🦃 Registration: $26.06 per person or $51.80 for the whole family
Make gratitude a tradition. Bring your family, invite your neighbors and other Dallas/Richardson friends, and help turn Thanksgiving steps into lifesaving research! If you can’t make it, donations are still welcome!
